Next up on our home tour is our newlywed nest! From the bathroom you really wander into the kitchen, but the kitchen wasn't clean enough for photos today, so here's a tour of our bedroom.
Peeking in!
That's right; no bedroom door! We use a simple curtain to separate our sleeping space from the rest of our place. It works for us. Plus, there just isn't any room for a door...
Lamps and nightstands are from Target. Pendant clock is from Pottery Barn.
Bedspread is from Bed Bath and Beyond (discontinued). The brand is KAS, pattern is Adelaide.
Before we came up with this configuration, our queen bed touched three of the four walls. Not joking.
(No, that is not our silly blue Prius outside. We may live in San Francisco, but that is just so not us.)
My side.
Note that the clicker is on my side. Falling asleep to the TV is such a bad habit of mine. That glass candle holder captures all of my bobby pins/hair ties. And at the bottom of this picture, you can spot a silver trim tray- my sister got that for me on one of her European adventures. Touch of culture, I tell ya!
RC's side.
Must have for any bedside table: Bluelounge's Sumo cable management. If you're like us, you use your cell phone as your alarm clock. Now- no more looking for lost/hidden phone chargers! And those black and white canvas prints are our fave photos from our wedding. A great reminder of such a special day.
I loved that wall art when I purchased it, but seeing it here in photos, I'm not sure I love it in this room.
My corner. We transformed these storage cubbies from Target into our clothes dressers. I use the top shelf to store old magazines.
That frame rope above our door is our love knot. We 'tied the knot' at the alter. Cute, right?!
I framed it and gave it to Ryan for our first year of marriage anniversary.
Vintage light fixture.
These prints and frames from minted.com haven't yet made it up on the wall, but I think they look kinda cool just sitting on top of the dresser. I'll hang them up one of these days...
No more tangled necklaces thanks to this framed shadow box turned jewelry organizer. Another great find at Marshalls!
I spotted these cool ceramic egg crates at Anthropologie last summer, but scored this great white version for just $4 at Marshalls. Perfect for holding all of my rings and loose necklace charms/trinkets.
Feather earrings are all the rage and these pairs from F21 found a perfect spot to hang on a sweet striped bowl from my sister.
My least favorite part: the
Next up for tomorrow- our kitchen!
