what's good here?

so this is my blog. so i can blog about whatever i want, right? i want to complainblog today.
why do people come out to eat and act as if they have never been in a restaurant before? here's a list of things i cant stand... and i'm sure the list will grow:
1.retard: what do you have to drink? me: theres a whole 6 page menu outlining all the fantastic beverages we have to offer you retard: do you have diet vanilla black cherry pepsi jazz? me: oh sure, yeah, we have just kegs of the stuff...
2.can i have a soda?
uh sure, i'll just push the "soda" button that we have in the back
3.me: Can I bring you something to drink? retard: no. me: you dont want anything to drink? retard: yeah, well water! me: thats a drink dumbbutt
4.can i have a beer?
um sure! i'll just go grab those bottles labeled beer behind the bar...
5. retard: we'll have an order of edemame. me: we dont have that retard: since when? me: since we opened... retard: oh well thats really wierd because i've had it here before me: hmm i dont think so, thats japanese and this is pfchangs china bistro emphasis on the CHINA
6. retard: which receipt do i sign? me: the paper one idiot- it doesnt matter!
7. i hate it when people take my pens
8.i hate it when people are on their cellphones at the table and completely ignore you while you stand at the table then proceed to flag you down with flairs when they need to order because they are 'in a hurry'
9. i hate it when people's credit cards dont swipe and they tell you just how to hold it and everything- get a new card from the bank buddy
10. i hate it when people ask how much things cost. its listed on the menu dummy. its also a great indication of what your tip will be... nada
11. i cant stand it when i tell my table that i'll be right back with refills and someone says 'um excuse me, i need more diet coke' uhhh YEAH i just said that i would be right back with refills


okay, so i guess thats enough ranting for tonight. i'm sure next shift i'll have lots more to complain about. until then, feel free to add to the list...

hunter wellies

i look forward to the sundays spent lounging around in sweats doing my household duties and not going to work. one of these days those lazy sundays will come. for now my sundays will be spent at the golf course serving newcastle and coorslight :)

this month's lucky mag has been my favorite. so much good stuff.

so my sister and i are pretty much the same. examples include: status +2, like uhhh dumbbb, procrastination tips texts and obsessed with deals found @rossdressforless. i'm lucky to have such a good sister.

it makes me happy to read other people's blogs. i can't believe i've been missing out for so long. theres no proper format to blogging. you just blog. one day is different than the day before and the varied entries allow for others to understand. healthy blogging. i like it.

midterms are this week and next. yummy :/

pokey eyeballs

i can still see. my eye doctor reports that my vision has stayed the same since last year and that i must maintain this same level of vision for at least another year before i can consider corrective surgery. i cant wait for the day i can wake up and clearly see the alarm clock.

i went to cbu tonight to get the lowdown on graduation requirements (and to get a free banana split). i am almost ready to graduate and i'm definitely set on banana splits for awhile.

i ran into target to get some ink for my printer and sitting completely out of place right next to my printer ink was a bottle of body wash. honeysuckle and orange peel- my faves. i scooped it up with my hp92 black ink. it was on sale for 3.33. thank-you jesus.

another bargain- my thrifty ebay purchase happy to be lipgloss/roll on scent came today in the mail. yay for yummy smells.

i want this and this too.

mt.kilaminjaro

i ate in&out for dinner tonight. it was kinda like a celebratory cheeseburger and diet coke because the cbu student accounts office lady called me today. she said i didn't have to pay them any more money. i know, what a great phone call right?! jesus really does provide in his own time.

i visited the most scary bank of america today with travis and jon. travis made it out alive and i think he even learned some spanish while inside. a fun adventure.

i invested in rareminerals for my face because it has gotten really gross lately. hopefully this stuff works wonders. i have pimples the size of mountains all over my face. ugh. way gross.


i think this guy knows i'm reading the missed connections section and wrote this one simply to entertain me. so funny. please tell me you guys are becoming obsessed with this too.

no rain tomorrow. partly sunny with a high of 65. i want to wear this tomorrow. but i will end up in jeans and flats.

the mail doesn't come today.

my dad's surprise party was a success.

he was truely surprised and everyone had a great time. 'things' is officially now our go-to family game. followed by a close second of blockus. never played things or blockus? come to the schiller house and we will play. and provide wine.

it rained today so i didn't have to go to work. no golfing in the rain, that is just silly. today was sister lauren's 21st birthday. we went to the spaghetti factory and had dinner. and spumoni ice cream- dad's fave. i can't believe that she is 21. and sister nikol will be 20 next month! we are all growing up. time to put on the big girl panties!! today is president's day and it's a national holiday. apparently cbu didn't get the memo that national holiday means an observance to be held 'nation' wide- as in the whole nation, including cbu. i guess baptists don't need to celebrate no stinkin' presidents. it's going to rain tomorrow. i wish i could wear these to school tomorrow.

can you tell that i am getting better at this blogging thing. i now know how to include links and incorporate pictures. man i'm good.

i am now currently obsessed with craigslist. but not to find things for free. i cant stop reading the 'missed connections' section. read this one first. pretty funny. then read this one next. know that paul guy? let her know, she missed the connection. this one is my favorite for today.
last night i watched platinum weddings. it was redic. $32,000 for the wedding dress $400 for custom shoes $103,000 for flowers $1,400 for makeup and hair $50,000 for food $27,000 for lighting and set up $350,000 site rental $60,000 for one diamond lined table but the guy wouldn't tell us how much he spent on her honkin' ring. i think that when you spend that ridiculous amount of money on a wedding, the meaning of marriage loses it's significance. don't get me wrong, i want to have a beautiful wedding, but i'm all about being practical. practicality is reality. *good blog title, i'm using it. speaking of practicality, i got my first credit card today. i do not embrace this idea of credit that we thrive on (in fact i wrote a 15 page paper on it last semester and got an a), but i have accepted it. i have vowed to not use it for evil. evil things are things such as: shoes, clothes, makeup, perfume, margaritas etc. i will use my new lovely red piece of plastic for good; like putting gas in the beezy to go to work and to school. and to pay for tuition the months that i have no dollars. and maybe using some magic to visit my heart in san francisco <3

rainy days remind me of inside recess.
inside recess reminds me of silent ball. and sorry. and colored pencils. and connect 4. and the oregon trail game. that game was so fun. trading and bartering for food with furs. crossing a river with our oxen. making sure that my son didnt die of cholera and not hitting the rocks on the way down the river on the raft.
i went to the softball game today with travis and jon. we have a theme song. goes like this "i've got a new red coat..." i miss playing softball.
tomorrow night i'm going with my sisters and dad to the pantages to see phantom of the opera. its going to be lovely.

i love me some sun.

so the past few days have been interesting. school has been good. i have been working hard in hopes of accomplishing the goals i have set for myself. i know i will enjoy the day i can tell my kids that i went to college and encourage them to do the same. i like my classes and feel a lot more included at cbu. i like all my comm friends, they are all so elegant :) yesterday shannon left me a bag of beautiful grapefruits and a friendly note. its nice to know that someone took time out of their day to think of me, drive to my home and leave me goodies. the fact that one single person can do one nice thing for another should translate into incentive for others to do the same. and handwritten notes come with such a warm feeling- pen, paper and personality.
today i woke up to the most horrible dream ever. i woke up in bawling. i will never forget it. it was one of those dreams that you're not sure if it really happened or not. not a good way to start the day. chapel was confusing and i'm super concerned that i don't have a testimony. i ate lunch with stephanie and jon and travis and people watched. it was so nice not having to worry about work and to just sit in the sun. after lunch i walked around downtown riverside and sat at the mission inn pool. it was silly to sit on a lounge chair by the pool at the mission inn wearing a dress with no bathing suit but the sunny weather felt like pool weather and the gate was open. it was inviting me to come in. it was such a nice sunny day. sarah and i went to dinner tonight. she is a good friend. i dont have my rhetorical criticism rough draft completed for tomorrow's peer edit. oh well. tomorrow it is supposed to rain and i think i will wear my boots to school.
